In April 2024, we embarked on a bold journey: the validation process with the EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) excellence model, through Colombia Excelente, EFQM’s national partner in Colombia. Today, with hearts full of joy and pride, we can say it out loud: We did it!
Renfort has been validated as an organization using the EFQM Model, an internationally recognized management framework that evaluates organizational performance, sustainability, and commitment to continuous improvement. This star is not just a seal; it’s a statement. It tells our country and our community that it is indeed possible to deliver high-quality education with a human-centered purpose.
What does this EFQM recognition mean for Renfort?
It means that at Renfort, we do not improvise. Every decision has an intention, every improvement is measured, and every step is purposeful. It means that we care deeply about what we do and how we do it because educating for life is not just a slogan, it’s a responsibility.
It also means our Personalized School Network grows with strong roots. Each Atelier and Renfort program has its unique identity, but they are also connected through shared processes, a strong organizational culture, and active listening to students, families, and educators. Our personalized methodology and disruptive approach are grounded in a solid structure.
We know that being recognized by EFQM is not a final goal. It is the beginning of a new chapter in which we reaffirm our commitment to continuous improvement, student well-being, educational innovation, and coherent, sustainable school leadership.
A path of continuous improvement and intentional leadership
For over a year, we looked inward, reflected on who we are, and envisioned what we want to become. Alongside our Growers (teachers), Supports, leaders, and an extraordinary management team, we wove this journey with care, high standards, and deep love.
As Paula Arboleda, General Director of Colombia Excelente, expressed: “From both the advisory and the evaluation processes, we observed a wonderful journey marked by the implementation of good practices, significant progress, learning, and of course, institutional improvement. We are very proud of you. The entire Colombia Excelente team sends you a warm embrace.”
Today, we celebrate this achievement, 15 years after the idea of transforming education was born. But we also look ahead, knowing that at Renfort, quality is not about rigidity; it is about structured sensitivity. Excellence is achieved when we place our children at the center with their needs, their voices, and their full potential.
